“I love teaching; I love having fun with first graders, seeing them learn, seeing the light bulb come on. They’re motivated to learn and every child learns differently.
“As a teacher, my job is to show all of the different ways to think and each child will latch on to what works best for them.
“I have been teaching first grade for over 30 years, and I love to make learning interactive and fun so what they’ve learned in the first grade stays with them, and helps them keep their excitement for learning.”
The First Grade Classroom
My classroom is filled with everything that sparks imagination and a desire to learn. Over the years, I have accumulated a wealth of resources that help children tap in to their natural way of learning. This helps them retain what they have learned, while creating a fun and safe environment for them to enjoy.
Learning in Mr. Beach’s First Grade Class
First grade educational goals are for students to have fun learning about God’s word in all we do. Reading and writing are most important academically, and these subjects get the most class time. We also spend lots of time on mathematics and get lots of hands-on science activities.
